This wheel thrown 3oz tea cup was thrown with porcelain clay and double dipped to form a nicely layered and contrasting glaze finish, with the brown under-layer coming through the glaze break on the lip.
The piece was first dipped in Georgie’s “Mustard Wood Ash” cone 6 glaze and then dipped once more in Georgie’s “Buckwheat” cone 6 glaze.

This wheel thrown 11.5oz drinking vessel is coated in a clear cone 6 glaze. The glaze and clay combination formed very small dark speckles spread throughout, giving the form a “vanilla bean ice cream” looking finish.
