This 3-clay marbled bowl is currently available in Grey Raven Gallery.

Gallery proceeds from sales at Grey Raven Gallery support Golden Road Arts, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing free instructional and art literacy content for young students.

This set of bubble bowls was thrown with a white clay body and trimmed on the wheel. Once bisque fired, the pieces were decorated by blowing blue bubbles onto the surface of the bowls using a mix of under-glaze, soap, and water. After the bubbles naturally pop, dried rings of colorant remain where the bubbles met, dried, and popped on the stoneware surfaces. Once dry, the pieces were then glazed with Georgies’ “No More Tears” clear cone 6 glaze and fired for a final time.

The measurements listed below indicate the width and height of the set of bowls when stacked; the bottom bowl is 1.75 inches tall and about 5.2 inches wide; the top bowl is about 1.75 inches tall and 4 inches wide.

Thrown with thin walls, this set of bowls is sure to make a useful addition to your daily routine.

This bowl was wheel thrown with a red-colored clay body and was coated in a thick layer of Georgie’s “Buckwheat” cone 6 glaze, leaving an off-white with small blue speckles where applied thinner.  It also boasts a light brown break line along the rim.

Note the small pin-holes on the exterior near the bottom of the glaze coating.

This small set of stacking bowls was wheel thrown with a light colored stoneware, and later hand painted with Georgie’s “Emerald Wood Ash” cone 6 glaze; leaving each piece with a different brush stroke pattern visible. The glaze is a matte finish, appearing light teal where applied thinner, with unique patches of light brown and dark grey coming through where the glaze was brushed on thicker or thinner.

Light weight and thrown thin, these stacking bowls would be put to good use as a shallow dish set to hold small objects like rings or desk trinkets among other things.
