This bowl was wheel thrown with a red-colored clay body and was coated in a thick layer of Georgie’s “Buckwheat” cone 6 glaze, leaving an off-white glossy finish with small blue speckles where the glaze was applied thinner. This bowl also boasts a medium brown break line along the rim.
Note the small pin-holes on the exterior near the bottom of the glaze coating.
Thrown with thin walls, this bowl is sure to make a useful addition to your home or office.

The process of throwing on the wheel naturally created the multi-colored spiral effect seen on the piece. Once bisque fired, the piece was coated in a thick layer of Georgies’ “No More Tears” clear glaze, which muted the black and red hues to look more earth toned. The unglazed clay at the base of the piece show off the original colors of the clay.
